Africans have always revered great story tellers since this is the way their history has been passed from generation to generation. One of the most compelling story in Africa’s history would definitely be The Life of David Livingstone. Born into poverty in a Glasgow slum in 1813 he would rise up to become “the greatest man of his generation” and during a career which spanned 30 years in Africa, he would traverse over 28000 miles of uncharted territory.

This would be a journey that engages in a lot of cultural touch and experience – a sharing led by Zimbabwe chief Mpisi to see various aspects of Ndebele life, from family and community, to farming techniques, cattle kraals, and the history of the different buildings and their designs, observe Chinotimba township-life – from the oldest houses to the taverns, the local market and churches, also a visit to the Chinotimba Primary School and meet the school headmaster.

The Sango Safari Camp that guest will stay is named for the Sango Family, some of the original inhabitants of the Khwai area, and now part owners of the camp. Guests will have the chance to learn first-hand about the unique lifestyle and experiences that come from living and growing up in one of the most wildlife rich areas of Botswana. Another unforgettable experience, while you stay in Grasslands Bushman Lodge, would be interact with the area’s endemic San bushmen. Learn how they hunt for food including meat, vegetables and nuts; make medicines; traditional dances and ceremonies; build their homes and even how they play games together.
